2023-24: Competed in 11 meets for the Wolves… Took fourth in the 4x400m at the NSIC Indoor Championships… Placed fifth in the 400m, third in the 4x100m, and third in the 4x400m at the NSIC Outdoor Championships… Member of the school record breaking 4x400m indoor relay (3:19.23)… Member of the school record breaking 4x100m and 4x200m relays during the outdoor season…

2022-23: Ran to a personal best of 48.19 in the 400m… Tallied 16 top-10 finishes on the year… Ran on the fourth place 4x400m relay (3:24.20) at the NSIC Indoor Championships… Took third in the 4x100m (41.88), fifth in the 400m (48.19), and seventh in the 4x400m (3:23.40) at the NSIC Outdoor Championships…

2021-22: Recorded 20 top-10 finishes between the indoor and outdoor seasons… Member of the 4x100m relay squad that broke the school record with a time of 41.72…

2021: Recorded an indoor personal best of 1:24.63 in the 600m and outdoor personal bests of 21.90 in the 200m and 48.78 in the 400m… Tallied 22 top-10 finishes on the year… Was a member of the all-conference 4x400m relay at the NSIC Outdoor Championships…

Season & Career Bests

Prep: Seth Martens is a sprinter out of Aberdeen Central High School. He is a 3-year letter winner and team captain for the Golden Eagles under the direction of head coach Greg Murley. Martens holds personal bests of 22.69 in the 200m and 50.53 in the 400m. Martens is a 6-time state place winner, 2-time All-ESD selection, 2-time all-state honoree, and a 2019 State Champion in the 4x200m relay and runner-up in the 4X400 relay. He is the son of Northern Alumni Bill and Gayla Martens.
