2021: Recorded indoor personal bests of 11:04.39 in the 3000m, 3:11.03 in the 1000m, and 5:18.12 in the mile, and outdoor bests of 2:28.88 in the 800, 4:57.55 in the 1500m, and 18:37.04 in the 5000m… Notched ten top-10 finishes on the year…

2018-19: Recorded indoor personal bests in the 3000m (11:33.44) and 5000m (19:26.18)… Took third in the 3000m and 5000m from the Thundering Herd Classic and DWU Alumni Meet… Added outdoor personal bests in the 1500m (5:11.62), 5000m (19:19.05), and 10,000m (41:28.60)… Won the 5000m at both the Wildcat Classic and UNK Loper Invite…

Season and Career Bests

Prep: Jordyn Sterud is a middle distance and distance runner out of Lac Qui Parle Valley High School, who will compete in both track and field and cross country. She is a 5-year letter winner in both sports for the Eagles under the direction of head coaches John Shurb and Jon Kvaal. Sterud holds personal records of 19:49 in the 5000m, 12:09 in the 3200m, 5:34 in the 1600m, and 2:25 in the 800m.  As a freshman she earned the Rookie of the Year award in both cross country and track and field. Sterud is a 4-time all-conference honoree, 2-time conference champion, and 3-time state qualifier in cross country. She is also a 2-time all-conference selection and 3-time conference champion (2016: mile, 2017: mile and 2 mile) on the track. Sterud is a member of the school record holding 4x800 relay team in 2015. She is also a member of the Eagle basketball team. She is the daughter of Steven and Jodi Sterud.
