In her first season at McCook, Charchuk hit .439 with 25 doubles, four triples, and 13 stolen bases. Her 25 doubles ranked fifth overall in the nation. She was named to the Omaha World Herald All-Nebraska JUCO first team and the Academic All-America second team. She is the daughter of Tim and Carol Siebenthal.

Fuller on Charchuk:
"Emily is a middle infielder that can play shortstop or second base. It is no secret that the most successful kids were usually at shortstop at some point, and they are moved around from there. To play shortstop, you have to have a different type of IQ, and Emily has that. Her experience at McCook will help her transition into a successful player in the NSIC. "
