Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball team is heading south to Russmatt Baseball Games, for 11 games scheduled from March 1-10 in Central Florida. Live stats will be available all 11 games, as the Wolves take on 10 Division II teams and 1 Division III teams.

• In 2018, Wolves went 22-20 overall and 13-13 in conference play with 14 games cancelled last season due to weather.

• Tyler Jones finished with 19.1 innings in nine appearances while posting a 5.59 earned run average.
• Zach Hartford tallied 16.2 innings last season with three starts and five appearances.

 
About University of Texas Tyler | March 1 | 11 AM (CT)

• The Patriots heading into the match-up will be 5-2 with winning four straight games.
• UT-Tyler is in the process of reclassifying to Division II and is not eligible for postseason play this season. UT-Tyler is a part of the American Southwest Conference.
• The Patriots are led by Brent Porche in his third year at the helm.

 
About West Virginia Wesleyan | March 2 | 12/2 PM (CT)

• WVW played on February 8th and 9th for the first and only four games played this season against University of Pittsburg Johnstown and sits 1-3 on the season.
• The Bobcats are in the Mountain East Conference is picked sixth in the South Division.
• WVW is led by Randy Tenney in his 28th season as the head baseball coach.

 
About Findlay | March 3 | 3:30/5:30 PM (CT)

• Findlay also open their season with the Wolves and will play nine games in Florida.
• The Oilers are a part of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference is preseason picked seventh out of 13 teams.
• University of Findlay is led by Stephen Parrill in his sixth season as the head coach.

 
Tiffin University | March 4 | 9:30 AM (CT)

• The Dragons is currently sitting with a 1-5 record with a win against Shepherd. Dragons were three game swept by Wayne State (MI) a team that the Wolves play later in Florida trip.
• Tiffin University is also in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference picked eighth in the preseason poll just behind Findlay.
• The Dragons are led by Joe Wilkins in his seventh season at the helm.

 
Cedarville University | March 7 | 4:30 PM (CT)

• The Yellow Jackets entering today is 1-1 splitting a series with Kentucky State. Cedarville is located in Cedarville, Ohio and is in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
• The Yellow Jackets were preseason picked 12th in the conference in front of Davis & Elkins College.
• Mike Manes is in his 11th season at the helm for the Yellow Jackets.

 
Walsh University | March 8 | 8 AM (CT)

• The Cavaliers are currently 1-3 in the only series that they have played this season. Walsh is hitting .317 as a team in four games.
• Walsh University is a school located in North Canton, Ohio and is in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Walsh is preseason picked fifth in front of Findlay and Tiffin.

• Going into the Russmatt Games the Timberwolves are 4-3 with wins against #12 Mercyhurst, Glenville State, Gannon, and Carson-Newman.
• Northwood University is located in Midland, Michigan; they are in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. They are picked second in the preseason poll behind Ashland.
• Jake Sabol is in his first year as the head coach of the Timberwolves.

 
Ashland University | March 9 | 8 PM (CT)

• Ashland is currently 3-0 with wins over Rockhurst and Trevecca, out-scoring opponents 18-7 in three games.
• The Eagles are from Ashland, Ohio participating in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Ashland is ranked first in the preseason poll just ahead of Northwood.
• John Schaly is the head coach for the Eagles in his 22nd year.
