The Wolves tallied 36 top-five finishes and several season bests in tonight's meet from the Aberdeen YMCA. THE QUICK DETAILS Score: NSU 107, UMary 154 Record: NSU 0-10, UMary 2-3 HIGHLIGHTS NSU tallied 36 top-five finishes and 20 top-three finishes as a unit Northern State opened the meet recording a time of 1:56.00 in the 200 medley; the team of Gregory Turner, Annalise Bishop, Lauren Forsyth, and Melani Mercer placed second overall Delaney Ryken opened the individual events for the Wolves taking second in the 1000 free with a time of 11:17.65, followed by Hannah Kiernan and Jordan Metz in third and fourth Josie Gillund tallied the top finish for the Wolves in the 200 free, earning three team points with a time of 1:59.59 Turner and Lexie Malimanek combined for five points in the 100 back, finishing with times of 1:04.12 and 1:04.38 Shayna Asuncion and Bishop added five points of their own in the 100 breaststroke, hitting the wall at 1:13.15 and 1:13.18 respectively Forsyth notched the first race victory for the Wolves in the 200 fly with a time of 2:12.88, and added top marks in the 100 distance defeating her opponents by .44 seconds with a time of 1:00.27 Marialuisa Avila swam to a third place finish in the 100 fly behind Forsyth with a time of 1:00.83 The Wolves went two-three in the 50 free with Gillund placing second (25.53) and teammate Connor Doran placing third (25.87) The pair followed up that performance taking second and third once again in the 100 free with times of 54.82 and 55.39 respectively Hannah Kiernan and Delanee Grier tallied third place finishes in the 200 backstroke and 200 breaststroke with times of 2:18.17 and 2:34.80 After a second place performance in the 1000 free, Ryken finished second again in the 500 free hitting the wall at 5:34.52 Forsyth and Kiernan closed out the individual events for the Wolves taking third and fourth in the 200 IM with marks of 2:21.70 and 2:24.34 Northern capped off the meet taking first and third in the 200 free relay; the team of Cassie Williams, Avila, Doran, and Gillund finished in 1:41.23, while the squad of Emma Murdock, Maycie Olson, Kenna Smith, and Ryken notched a time of 1:47.47 BEYOND THE RESULTS Forsyth tallies two individual first-place finishes in the 100 fly and the 200 fly, dropping .42 seconds in the 100 fly since the opening meet of the season Gillund swam a season best in the 200 free, dropping 2.63 seconds since opening the season at the UMary Quad UP NEXT The Wolves get ready for another dual in Morris next week as they take off the block at 6 p.m. against Minnesota Morris of Friday, November 8th.
