2021-22: Swam to personal best times in the 50 yard freestyle (24.44) and the 50 yard butterfly (26.44)… Ranked 11^th in the NSIC in the 50 yard butterfly and 15^th in the 100 yard butterfly… Recorded two event wins in the 50 yard freestyle, one win in the 100 yard butterfly, and totaled eight top-3 finishes in the 50, 100, and 200 yard butterfly… Was a member of the 400 yard freestyle relay team at the NSIC Championships that recorded a sixth place podium finish with a  time of 3:32.15… Was a member of the 200 yard freestyle relay at the NSIC Championships that broke the school record with a time of 1:37.55 in a time trial…

2021: Raced a collegiate best of 31.49 in the 50 back and 1:06.78 in the 100 IM…
 
2019-20: Swam to personal best times in the 50 free (24.67), 100 free (53.22), 50 fly (26.55), 100 fly (57.22), and 200 fly (2:22.19)… Ranked top-25 in the conference in 100 free… Ranked top-10 in the league in 50 fly and 100 fly… 

2018-19: Redshirt Season

Prep: Marialuisa is a 5-foot-6, butterfly and freestyle swimmer out of Panama City. As a member of the Beldagans Plus team, Avila finished third at the Panamanian regionals. Avila holds a career best of 58.64 in the 100 fly (converted) and 25.63 in the 50 fly (converted). She is the daughter of Luis Jose Avila and Haydee De Avila.
