Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team is set for their first MidcoSN Game of the Week as they travel to Minot State tomorrow. The Wolves and Beavers will kick-off at 7:05 p.m. from Herb Parker Stadium.
The Wolves enter their first MidcoSN Thursday night football game of the season, after a 28-20 North Division victory over MSU Moorhead.
Nicholas Truen led the team in the game with three rushing touchdowns and 119 total yards rushing. Three defensive Wolves tallied double digit tackles led by
Josh Coyle with a season high 13. In his first start of his career,
Hunter Trautman threw for 129 yards and one touchdown to
Nick Kayl. The Wolves are averaging 14.4 points, 100.8 yards rushing, 146.4 yards passing, and 247.2 yards of total offense. Truen currently leads the team with 295 yards rushing and three touchdowns, while
Cody Kraft has a team leading 146 yards receiving.
Noah MacPherson and
Alex Gray lead the defense with 32 tackles apiece, while
Preston Droessler has a team leading 5.0 tackles for a loss and 3.0 sacks.
Nathan Shaw is averaging 59.7 yards per kick-off, while
Jacob Wiedrich is averaging 37.1 yards per punt.
