Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team will host St. Cloud State University tomorrow in the eighth week of NSIC action. The Wolves and Huskies will match-up at 1 p.m. in the annual cancer awareness game, deemed the Blackout Cancer game this season. The Wolves will wear black uniforms, which will be auctioned off, as well as pink athletic tape in support of childhood and breast cancer awareness. The Wolves enter the weekend after a pair of road losses at Bemidji State (31-28, OT) and Minnesota Duluth (39-19).
Christian McAlvain tallied 217 yards of total offense including 198 yards passing and 19 yards rushing. The senior quarterback notched the team's two touchdowns.
Nicholas Truen led the NSU rushers with 44 yards on 14 attempts, while
Zech Culbreath was the leading receiver nothing 81 total yards on four receptions.
Alex Gray led the NSU defense with a career high 11 tackles, including seven solo and four assisted.
Channing Barber and
Blake Lohr tallied the team's two pass break-ups in the game, while
Tyson Zemlicka,
Tanner Lopez, and
Noah MacPherson notched the team's two sacks. C. Barber is currently the co-leader in the NSIC in passes defended with nine breakups and three interceptions. He is also leading the league with 166 return yards.

• St. Cloud State comes to town with a 4-3 record overall and 3-0 record in the North.
• SCSU quarterback Nate Meyer is fourth in the league in passing with 135 completions for 2029 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is averaging 289.9 yards per game.
• Jameson Parsons is also fourth in the league with 49 receptions for 835 yards and seven touchdowns. He is averaging 119.3 yards per game.
