Season and Career Bests

Pre-NSU: Jorge Garcia is a distance runner of out Pine Bluffs High School and Gillette Community College. He was a 4-year letter winner for the Hornets under head coach Dustin Lee. Garcia holds personal records of 2:02.00 in the 800m, 4:40.00 in the 1600m, 10:23.00 in the 3200m, and 16:32.00 in the cross country 5k. He is a 2-time Wyoming State Champion in cross country (2015) and the 3200m (2016). Garcia is a 3-time cross country and 2-time track all-state selection. The Hornets won the 2016 Wyoming Track and Field State Championship. In his two seasons at Gillette CC, Garcia ran to personal records of 4:09.00 in the 1500m, 9:20.00 in the 3000m, 15:52.00 in the 5000m, 32:50.00 in the 10,000m, and 26:36.00 in the 8k. He finished fourth at the 2017 NJCAA Cross Country Championships, earning All-American status and is a 2018 national qualifier in the 10,000m. He is the son of Jorge and Alicia Garcia.
