2019-20: Recorded indoor personal bests in the pentathlon (3,253), 55m (6.79), 55m hurdles (8.03), long jump (6.38m), heptathlon (4,682), 200m (23.28), and pole vault (4.65m)… Tallied 17 top-10 finishes in the indoor season… Notched three event victories… Finished seventh in the heptathlon and eight in the pole vault at the NSIC Indoor Championships…
2018-19: Recorded six top-10 finishes throughout the indoor season… Tallied a personal best of 8.89 in the 60m hurdles… Added seven top-10 finishes during the outdoor season… Won the 400m hurdles at the Mount Marty Invite… Was a member of the All-Conference 4x400m relay that finished second at the NSIC Championships (3:16.69)…
2017-18: Competed in the multi events for the Wolves… Recorded season bests of 16.45w in the 110H, 53.91 in the 400H, 4.46m (indoor) in the pole vault, 6039 points in the decathlon, 7.49 in the 60m, 50.96 in the 400m, 1:22.03 in the 600m, 9.12 in the 60H, 5.73m in the long jump, 4499 points in the heptathlon… 23 top ten finishes, winning the 400H at the Alex Francis Classic College Division… Placed tenth at the NSIC Outdoor Multi Event Championships… Finished third in the 400H at the NSIC Outdoor Championships… Was a member of the fourth place 4x400m team at the NSIC Outdoor Championships…
2016-17: Recorded personal bests of 4,093 in the indoor heptathlon and 5,539 points in the outdoor decathlon… Tallied personal best indoor marks in the 60m (7.56), 600m (1:24.63), 1000m (2:50.10), 60m hurdles (9.19), long jump (5.95m), and shot put (8.49m)… Notched personal best outdoor marks in the 100. (11.73), 400m (50.60), 1500m (4:37.22), 110m hurdles (16.84), 400m hurdles (53.59), high jump (1.71m), pole vault (4.20m), discus (23.50m), and javelin (36.85m)… Won the 300m hurdles at the SDSU DII Meet… Placed first in the 600m run at the indoor SDSU Last Chance Meet… Won the 400m hurdles at the Sioux City Relays… Was a member of the winning 4x400m team at the NSU Twilight… Finished third from the NSIC Outdoor Championships in the 400m hurdles, earning All-Conference….
Season and Career Bests
Prep:Â Kelson Brewer is a 5-foot-11, decathlete out of Lakewood High School. He was a 4-year letter winner for the Cougars under head coaches Paul Johnson and Monica Rooney. In 2015 Brewer earned a sixth place finish in the 300m hurdles at the State meet and was named All-Conference in the 300m hurdles and All-Conference Honorable Mention in the 4x400m relay. This past spring, he third in the 300m hurdles and eighth in the 4x400m relay. Brewer was a 2016 All-Conference first team honoree in the 400m and 100m, and second team honoree in the 300m hurdles and 4x400m relay. He is a 4-year honor roll member, and also participates in marching band as a drum major and flutist. He is the son of Marcella and Rone Brewer.
