2008: Played in and started all 30 matches of the season... Saw action in all but one of the team's 113 sets on the year... Served as the team's starting libero, recording a team-high 578 digs... Led the conference in digs per set (conference games only) throughout the season, averaging 5.89 digs per set in league play... Was second in overall digs per set with 5.15... Also led the Wolves in service aces with 28... Recorded four aces in a 5-game match at St. Cloud State on Oct. 25... Recorded a season-best 35 digs against Augustana on Sept. 20... Was also perfect in 23 serve reception attempts in that match... Notched her second 30-dig effort in a 5-set match at St. Cloud State on Oct. 25... Was again perfect in 25 serve reception attempts in that match... Recorded 10 or more digs in all but five matches on the season, including 17 matches with 20 or more digs... Made just 34 reception errors in 553 attempts, good for a .939 serve reception percentage... Named to the First Team All-NSIC squad and was a Second Team Daktronics All-Region selection. 

2007: Nygaard played in every match of the 2007 season, her first with the Wolves ... was the Wolves' leading defender, finishing the season with 549 digs and averaging 5.60 digs per game, which was good for fourth in the conference ... had double digit dig performances in 24 of the 29 matches she played in ... had a season high 58 digs against MSU Moorhead on September 28, which set a new NSIC single game high record for digs ... was named the NSIC defensive player of the week following that performance ... also lead the Wolves in ace serves with 44, averaging 0.45 aces per game, finishing fourth in the NSIC.
