SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Wolves baseball matched up against Bemidji State in a doubleheader Sunday, March 8 in Sioux Falls, S.D. The teams split today's action with Northern winning game one and Bemidji taking game two.

GAME ONE: NSU 6, BSU 3
- Andrew Niaves set the tone early for the Wolves with a homerun on the first at bat of the game
- A Beaver homer from Noah Drusch in the top of the second tied things up 1-1
- Dillon Castellanos singled and stole second to get into scoring position while Drew Benson batted him home, retaking the lead for Northern
- An NSU fielding error allowed Bemidji to score and even things up once again heading into the fourth inning
- Another Drusch run gave the Beavers a 3-2 advantage
- In the top of the sixth, Casey Vining doubled, setting himself up to score off of Jack Weidner's following triple
- Jordan Hull came in to run for Weidner; he crossed home plate on a Dylan Soulek sacrifice bunt one pitch later
- Piling on the scoring was Collin Lott in the top of the seventh, bringing home Danny Sanchez and Castillanos to go up 6-3

GAME TWO: NSU 4, BSU 12
- The Wolves picked up right where they left off from game one of the doubleheader
- Andrew Niaves was walked on the first four pitches of the game, while Collin Lott singled just a couple batters later
- A two-out Casey Vining single brough both baserunners home, putting Northern on the board first 2-0
- The Beavers answered fast, loading the bases then scoring two on a centerfield error
- A wild pitch and another fielding error allowed Bemidji to score two more runs and lead 4-2 after one
- BSU added two runs in the second inning and three runs in the seventh inning
- Four walks on the first six batters in the top of the eighth brought Niaves home, ending Bemidji's nine to nothing scoring run
- Lott came home on a wild pitch, bringing the score to 9-4 Beavers
- Game two scoring rounded out with three runs in the bottom of the eighth from BSU and zeros on the board for both teams in the nineth
