Wolves Finish Eighth at the NSIC Championships

Sioux Falls, S.D – The Northern State University swim team recorded an eighth place finish to close out the NSIC Championships. The day saw Haley Osborn notch a NCAA 'B' cut standard time in the 100 free while finishing in sixth place.
 
WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS
  • Lilly Grebner kicked off the day with a second place finish in the 100 IM hitting the wall at 57.11
  • In the 100 free, Haley Osborne finished in sixth place with a time of 52.06; Osborne's time qualified under the NCAA 'B' cut standard
  • Maddie Gonzales took 12th place in the 200 back recording a time of 2:07
  • Brianna Back finished in 15th place in the 200 breast hitting the wall at 2:33.39
  • The team of Back, Annalise Olsson, Tayla Liddle, and Mia Fursedonne took ninth place in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:41.92
 
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE NSIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
  • Lilly Grebner grabbed a first place finish in the 200 IM hitting the wall at 2:04.32; Grebner's time qualified under the NCAA 'B' cut standard
  • The 200 free relay team of Mia FursedonneHilary SonnabendGeorgy Turner, and Stella Bullis broke the previous school record of 1:47.96 set in 2023 by a team of  Maddie GonzalesMayson SheldonLauren ForsythDelaney Ryken
  • Grebner recorded her second NSIC championship in the 400 IM hitting the wall at 4:27.10; Grebner's time qualified under the NCAA 'B" cut standard
  • In the 200 fly Grebner took the top sport on day three in the 200 fly with a time of 2:03.24; Grebner's time qualified under the NCAA 'B' cut standard
 
UP NEXT
Northern State will await the announcement of NCAA Championship selections. The NCAA Championships are set to begin March 13th and will run till March 16th from Geneva Ohio.
