Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swim team heads south to compete in the NSIC Championship this week. The four day meet will be hosted at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls. The Championship is scheduled to start on Wednesday, February 14th and run till Saturday, February 17th with a start time of 10 a.m. every day.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Northern State finished the regular season with a 4-9 record and 3-9 mark in the NSIC; The Wolves also competed in two invitationals during the season
• NSU finished in seventh place in the regular season with 568.15 points
• The Wolves last competed on the at home in the Pentathlon Meet against Southwest Minnesota State with Lilly Grebner tying for first place
• Lilly Grebner finished the season ranked fifth in the NSIC with 679.65 total points along with Haley Osborne in 25th in with 633.35 total points
• In the 100 free, Osborne sits tied for 15th with a time of 53.05 in the NSIC along with finishing in fifth place in the 200 free hitting the wall at 1:54.59
• Maddie Gonzales is ranked in tenth place in the 200 back with a time of 2:08.17
• In the 50 fly Grebner is ranked eighth with a time of 26.87 with Alexia Hoven in 12th place hitting the wall at 27.04
• The duo of Grebner and Hoven are ranked fifth and seventh in the 100 fly with times of 57.67 and 57.79 respectively
• Grebner sits in the top spot in the 200 fly with a time of 2:03.06 along with notching a NCAA D2 'B' cut time
• In addition, Hoven sits in sixth place in the 200 fly with a recorded time of 2:10.10
• With a time of 58.39 in the 100 IM, Grebner sits in second place
• In the 200 IM and 400 IM Grebner is ranked first, with times of 2:06.53 and 4:28.43 respectively; with the 400 IM time hitting the NCAA 'B' cut time
• Jacie Flockhart is ranked 13th in the 1 meter dive with six dive with 242.62 total points
• In the 200 free relay a team of Guusje Lent, Osborne, Mia Fursedonne, and Grebner is ranked fifth hitting the wall at 1:37.50
• A team of Fursedonne, Annalise Olsson, Osborne, and Grebner sit in seventh place with a time of 3:36.88
• In the 800 free relay a team of Grebner, Tayla Liddle, Gonzales, and Osborne are ranked eighth with a time of 8:06.82
