FAN PRIMER | Wolves Host Golden Bears and Bulldogs in NSIC Action

Aberdeen, S.D. â€“ The Northern State women’s basketball gears up to take on Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota on Duluth Friday and Saturday. Tip-off times are set for 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19th against the Golden Bears and 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th against the Bulldogs from Wachs Arena.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

  • The Wolves enter the weekend with a 12-4 record overall and 8-2 mark in the Northern Sun, sitting third in the league standings
  • NSU is shooting 42.5% from the floor, 30.8% from the 3-point line, and 73.9% from the foul line this season
  • They are averaging 65.8 points, 39.8 rebounds, 14.1 assists, 14.4 turnovers, 6.7 steals, and 3.9 blocks per game; out-scoring and out-rebounding their opponents by 6.5 points and 6.2 boards per game
  • Northern leads the NSIC in opponent points per game (59.3), opponent field goal percentage (36.0), and rebounding margin (6.2)

  • The Golden Bears are shooting 43.3% from the floor, 29.6% from the 3-point line, and 67.8% from the foul line this season
  • They are averaging 66.1 points, 38.1 rebounds, 12.7 assists, 15.4 turnovers, 8.0 steals, and 5.1 blocks per game; out-scoring and out-rebounding their opponents by 6.0 points and 4.6 boards per contest
  • Ally Gietzel leads three in double figures averaging 17.8 points, as well as 7.1 rebounds per game
  • Lindsey Becher and Lauren Wilson follow notching 11.7 and 11.4 points per game respectively
  • Wilson is shooting a team leading 53.6% from the floor and leads the team off the bench in 2023-24

Entrances to the Facility & Gate Opening Times

While the Barnett Center has numerous entrances to the facility, fans should enter through the main north doors on game day as the primary ticket gate. Fans who chose to park along State Street have the ability to enter through the Dacotah Bank Stadium gates and south Barnett Center doors. The ticket gates, located in the Barnett Center lobby, will open one hour prior to tio-off for all general admission and same day ticket sales. Individuals included in the Northern State passbook must sign in at the north entrance ONLY via the far right line.  There is no re-entry into the facility.

Parking

Fans with Wolves Club parking passes are able to park in the first three blocked off rows of the Barnett Center Lot. Parking passes must be displayed for the gate attendants. The remainder of the lots is free to park for all fans. 

Concessions, NSU Team Store, Apex Events Alcohol Sales, and Programs

The Northern State concession stands are operated by Sodexo and offer a wide range of options for fans of all ages. Enjoy an ice-cold Coca-Cola product, bite into a soft pretzel with cheese, a world famous Wolf dog, or walking taco. Don’t forget to grab a freshly made popcorn or batch of Wisconsin cheese curds from one of the concession stands near you at all home Wolves athletic events. In addition, Sodexo supports local non-profits through a variety of opportunities. Contact NSU Dining Services at 605-626-2928 to learn more. New in 2023 Northern State students can use their Thunder Bucks at all Sodexo concessions stands. 

The NSU Nike Team Store will be open in its Barnett Center location one hours before tip-off for all Northern State home basketball games. 

Program sales will take place in the main Barnett Center hallway and in the arena. All game day program sales are cash only. Game day programs feature Northern State basketball history, game day information, opponent information, and a variety of promotions and coupons for Northern State fans. Programs for the SCB Champions Classic are produced and sold through Small College Basketball. 

Alcohol sales through APEX Events LLC will be available in the southeast corner of the Barnett Center for all fans. 

Online Ticketing

Wolves Club season tickets and general admission passes can be purchased online at nsuwolves.universitytickets.com or at the gate on game day. The fully automated system allows fans to select their seat for game day with tickets sent directly to your email or mobile device. Pricing for season and single game tickets is available at nsuwolves.com/tickets. Senior and youth tickets are only available for purchase at the gate on game days. All game day ticket sales will be available at wither entrance to the Barnett Center on game day.
