Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head women's basketball coach Paula Krueger announced today the signing of Minneapolis, Minnesota native Maddy Blaylark. She will join Liz Boschee (Woonsocket, S.D.), Izzy Guetzlaff (Red Wing, Minn.), and Addison Neuendorf (Hayti, S.D.) as 2026-27 additions to the Wolves roster.

Maddy Blaylark is a 5-foot-7 guard out of DeLaSalle High School. She is a 4-year starter and team captain for the Islanders under the direction of head coach Ana Garcia. She averaged double figure points as a freshman and shot over 40.0% from the floor as a sophomore. In addition, Blaylark surpassed 1000 career points in February, a milestone set with just over two seasons of action under her belt due to injury. Blaylark is a 2-time Tri-Metro All-Conference team honoree, 2-time MSHSL All-Tournament team member, and all-state honorable mention selection. DeLaSalle advanced to three straight MSHSL Tournaments from 2023-25 and won the State Championship in 2024, posting an overall record of 78-17. She is the daughter of Rosalie and Eddie Blaylark.

Krueger's Thoughts: "Maddy Blaylark is a multi-level scorer who can really shoot it. She stretches you from three, is solid in the mid-range, and rebounds like a guard who refuses to be outworked. Excited about the toughness and versatility she brings to our program."
