Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams are set for two meets this week, traveling to Mount Marty on April 26 and the Drake Relays April 27-29. Competition kicks off at 11 a.m. at Mount Marty with the full team in competition. Northern will have a smaller squad competing at Drake, including
Renea Taylor (100m / 400H),
Jackson Harrison (10,000m), and the men's 4x100m, 4x200m, spring medley relay, and 4x400m.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
- The Wolves are coming off a chilly weekend of competition at the Red Raider Open where they put together nine event victories and 38 top-5 finishes
- Event winners for the women included Megan Pickering (5000m), Kenzee Danielson (pole vault), Morgan Sheldon (heptathlon), Mary Franssen (800m), the 4x400m relay (Kyanna Collymore, Vanessa Klein, Alli Jackson, Renea Taylor), and Sierra Sweeney (triple jump)
- Event winners for the men included Josh Martin (5000m), Joel Matehs (110m hurdles), and the 4x400m relay (Matehs, Chase Domier, Martin, Seth Martens)
- Sam Tremelling recorded the first provisional mark of his career in the pole vault, clearing 4.82m
- Northern State has three regular season meets remaining before the NSIC Championships set for May 11-13 in St. Paul, Minnesota
WOLVES IN THE TOP-25 NATIONALLY
- Renea Taylor is ranked in three events nationally sitting 23rd in the 200m (23.98), 12th in the 100m (11.58), and eighth in the 400m hurdles (1:00.22)
SCHOOL RECORD WATCH
- Renea Taylor broke the 100m school record set in 2017 by Hanneke Oosterwegel with a time of 11.59 at the Dutch Invite and re-broke that record at the Pacific Coast Invite with a time of 11.58
- Taylor also tallied a school record performance in the 200m at the Pacific Coast Invite, running to a time of 23.98
- Josh Martin broke the 17-year old school record in the 1500m at Mt. SAC with a time of 3:54.58
- Jackson Harrison knocked down his own school record in the 5000m at Mt. SAC with a time of 14:24.47
