Biography

2022-23: Recorded personal bests in the 55m hurdles (9.05), 60m hurdles (9.72), 600m (1:41.64), long jump (5.22m), triple jump (11.47m), and 400m hurdles (1:07.62)… Tallied 30 top-10 finishes on the year.. Took sixth in the triple jump at the NSIC Outdoor Championships…

2021-22: Recorded indoor personal bests of 1:45.20 in the 600m and 2,794 in the pentathlon… Added outdoor personal bests in the 100m hurdles (16.97), 200m (29.43), 400m hurdles (1:10.05), and triple jump (11.00m)… Tallied seven top-10 finishes on the year…

Season and Career Bests

Pre-NSU: Sierra Sweeney is a 5-foot-4 multi-athlete out of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia and Auburn Drive High School. She holds personal bests of 11.38m in the triple jump, 65.32 in the 400m hurdles, 14.97 in the 100m hurdles, and 5.09m in the long jump. Competing at the Canadian National Youth Track and Field Championships, Sweeney is a 2-time silver medalist in the triple jump and 200m hurdles, a bronze medalist in the 80m hurdles, and a gold medalist in the triple jump. She is a 15-time ANS record holder and 2-time Nova Scotia Female Athlete of the Year. She is the daughter Carol Ann and Terry Sweeney.
