Fargo, N.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams closed out the NDSU Bison Open with a fourth place finish on the men's side (76.5 points) and fifth place finish on the women's side (67.5 points). The Wolves recorded a combined 22 top-10 finishes, four provisional marks, and one meet record from Fargo.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Eli Radtke finished the open with a seventh place finish in the heptathlon, earning 4,043 points with marks of 7.47 in the 60m, 5.82m in the long jump, 9.10m in the shot put, 1.74m in the high jump, 9.78 in the 60m hurdles, 4.25m in the pole vault, and 3:18.84 in the 1000m
- Josh Martin and Jonathan Burkhalter took third and ninth in the mile with times of 4:20.46 and 4:30.88
- Joel Matehs tallied a sixth place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.56
- Matehs added a 12th place finish in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 51.23
- Jackson Harrison ran to a third place finish in the seeded 3000m with a provisional time of 8:22.94
- Vance Borchers and Sean Juengst took tenth and 12th in the high jump, each clearing 1.84m
- Glen Quayle led the way in the pole vault, clearing 4.76m (provisional mark) in third place, followed by Sam Tremelling and Rico Imus in fifth and seventh with marks of 4.61m and 3.86m
- Borchers went on to take seventh in the triple jump with a 12.25m mark, followed by Carter Moller in eighth with a 12.10m jump
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Renea Taylor opened her day winning the 60m dash prelims with a time of 7.63 and took second in the finals, breaking the meet record with a provisional time of 7.56
- Taylor added another runner-up finish in the 200m with a provisional time of 25.01
- Taylor and Kyanna Collymore took third and seventh in the 400m with times of 58.47 and 58.73 respectively
- Three Wolves landed in the top-15 of the 800m, led by Mary Franssen in tenth with a time of 2:18.36
- Jennifer Clark and Summer Carlson followed in 12th and 13th, notching times of 2:25.05 and 2:26.35 respectively
- Megan Pickering broke into the top-10 of the 3000m with a time of 10:22.48 in seventh overall
- Franssen and Pickering added seventh and 11th place finishes in the 1000m with times of 2:59.36 and 3:07.89
- After a pentathlon performance yesterday, Morgan Sheldon took fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.55m
- Jordan Tschumperlin, Emily Breske, and Kilee Bladow finished tenth, 11th, and 13th in the high jump with marks of 1.50m across the board
- Sierra Sweeney and Kamryn Schwartz took fourth and eighth in the triple jump with marks of 11.17m and 10.44m
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Taylor now ranks 20th in the 60m and 18th in the 200m following her two runner-up finishes and provisional marks
- The 60m time is also a new school record for Taylor by .04 seconds
- Franssen's 1000m time bested her own school record in the event

Northern remains on the road next Friday and Saturday at the SDSU Classic. Start times are set for 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
