NSIC Championships Kicks Off Today in Aberdeen

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams are set to take on the NSIC Championships this Thursday through Saturday in Aberdeen. NSU will host the meet from the Swisher Activities Complex. Full meet information can be found at the NSIC Championships webpage.  
 
MEET & FAN INFORMATION
  • Live results and video will be available at the link above or on the full schedule at nsuwolves.com
  • Admission gates are located at the north and south ends of the facility with ticket prices as follows: $10 for adults, $5 for students, kids 5 & under are free
    • Ticket sales are CASH ONLY
  • Concessions will be available throughout the championships with a limited number of championships t-shirts available for purchase
  • The top three placers in individual events and two placers in relays will earn NSIC All-Conference accolades

SCHOOL RECORD WATCH
  • Tanner Berg broke his own school record in the hammer throw, tossing 69.55m at the Jo Meaker Classic, 70.37m at the Drake Relays, and 70.54m at the USD Twilight
  • Glen Quayle vaulted 5.03m at the USD Twilight, 4.98m at the Dewey Donat Classic, and 4.92m at the Jo Meaker Classic
  • Shona Juliana broke her own school record in the long jump at the Jo Meaker Classic, jumping 5.80m, and again at the Kip Janvrin Open with a 5.97m mark
  • The distance medley relay team of Megan Pickering, Jennifer Clark, Mary Franssen, and Isabel Kinzer broke the school record with a time of 12:37.65
  • Jackson Harrison tallied a new school record in the 5000m with a time of 14:38.63
  • The men's 4x100m relay of Seth Martens, Luke Schroeder, Isaac Olson, and Joel Matehs broke the 18-year-old school record with a time of 41.72
 
WOLVES IN THE TOP-25 NATIONALLY
  • Shanice Burrell ranks 25th in the 100m hurdles with a provisional time of 13.99
  • Glen Quayle sits 21st in the pole vault, clearing a provisional mark of 5.03m
  • Shona Juliana is ranked 17th nationally in the long jump with a provisional mark of 5.97m
  • Tanner Berg leads the nation in the hammer, throwing a provisional mark of 70.54m
