Wolves Set for NSIC Quarterfinal Match-Up with No. 13 Huskies

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State women's basketball team will face off against No. 13 St. Cloud State for the third time this season. The NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament quarterfinal match-up is set for a 4:30 p.m. tip-off on Saturday afternoon at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • Northern State enters the quarterfinal round with a record of 13-14 (9-12 NSIC), they finished the regular season tenth place overall in the conference and was fifth place in the north division
  • The Wolves picked up a 76-66 road victory at Augustana in their first round match-up
  • Northern is averaging 66.3 points, 39.3 rebounds, 12.1 assists, 14.6 turnovers, 5.8 steals, and 4.4 blocks per game

  • St. Cloud State enters the quarterfinal round with a record of 21-3 (19-2 NSIC); they finished the regular season as overall and north division co-champions in the NSIC
  • SCSU entered the week ranked No. 13 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll, No. 9 in the D2SIDA Poll, and No. 2 in the NCAA Central Region Poll
  • The Huskies are currently on a ten game win streak, and ended the regular season with a road sweep of Minnesota Crookston (67-59) and Bemidji State (67-57)
