Wolves Travel to Face NSIC South Foes Wayne State and Augustana

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State women's basketball team will hit the road once again as they travel to take on Wayne State and Augustana. The Wolves and Wildcats will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night, and the Wolves and Vikings will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • Northern State enters this weekend with a record of 6-7 (3-5 NSIC)
  • The Wolves are tied for 12th place overall in the conference and are seventh in the north division
  • In the first game back following winter break, Northern dropped a 67-50 home game against MSU Moorhead on Sunday
  • The game against the Dragons saw Laurie Rogers record her third game of the season with five or more blocks, her 2.8 blocks per game ranks second best among NSIC players and is eighth nationally

  • WSC has played one game following the winter break, a 74-63 loss at Augustana last Sunday
  • Wayne State is averaging 68.2 points, 33.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 17.3 turnovers, 7.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game this season
  • As a team they are shooting the ball 40.5 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from 3-point range, and 69.9 percent from the free throw line
