Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State women's basketball team will hit the road once again as they travel to take on Wayne State and Augustana. The Wolves and Wildcats will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night, and the Wolves and Vikings will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Northern State enters this weekend with a record of 6-7 (3-5 NSIC)
• The Wolves are tied for 12^th place overall in the conference and are seventh in the north division
• In the first game back following winter break, Northern dropped a 67-50 home game against MSU Moorhead on Sunday
• The game against the Dragons saw Laurie Rogers record her third game of the season with five or more blocks, her 2.8 blocks per game ranks second best among NSIC players and is eighth nationally
• NSU is averaging 65.5 points, 39.6 rebounds, 10.0 assists, 13.9 turnovers, 6.7 steals, and 3.9 blocks per game this season
• As a team they are shooting the ball 39.8 percent from the field, 25.1 percent from 3-point range, and 73.8 percent from the free throw line
• NSU's rebounding has been a key strength this season, the Wolves are tied for the best rebound margin in conference games (5.9) and have only been out-rebounded twice this season
• Lexi Roe notched a major career milestone against St. Cloud State when she became the 30^th player in program history to grab 500 or more rebounds, this weekend another career milestone could be reached as she is only 27 points away from becoming the 35^th member of the 1000 career points club
• While shooting 50 percent from 3-point range in the past two games, Roe currently sits at 99 made 3-point field goals in her career; with three made 3-point baskets this weekend she can move into ninth in the all-time record book
• Kailee Oliverson leads a trio of Wolves who average double figures in scoring with 14.3 points per game, while shooting 40.7 percent on the season
• Rianna Fillipi adds 11.5 points per game, while leading the team in assists (4.8) and steals (2.4)
• Fillipi is tied for fourth in the conference in assists and assist/turnover ratio

WAYNE STATE STORYLINES

• Wayne State enters this weekend with a record of 7-5 (4-4 NSIC)
• The Wildcats are tied for seventh place overall in the conference and are tied for fourth in the south division
• WSC has played one game following the winter break, a 74-63 loss at Augustana last Sunday
• Wayne State is averaging 68.2 points, 33.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 17.3 turnovers, 7.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game this season
• As a team they are shooting the ball 40.5 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from 3-point range, and 69.9 percent from the free throw line
• The Wildcats have been one of the best teams in the conference at defending the 3-point line where they are holding conference opponents to shooting 23.9 percent, which is best 3-point defense in the conference
• Kylie Hammer is the NSIC's leading scoring averaging 22.6 points per game in conference games, and her 20.0 points per game this season ranks 16^th nationally

LOOKING BACK TO 2021

• Northern State and Wayne State opened the 2020-21 season against each other in Aberdeen on January 2^nd and 3^rd, the two teams split the weekend double header with the Wolves winning game one 77-53 and the Wildcats winning game two 81-73
• Wayne State leads the all-time series 31-24, and have won three of the last four meetings
