Northern State Women’s Basketball Travels to Rapid City to Face South Dakota Mines

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State women's basketball team will continue their stretch of four consecutive games away from Aberdeen with a game at South Dakota Mines on Thursday night. The Wolves and Hardrockers will tip-off at 6:30 p.m. at the King Center in Rapid City.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • Northern State enters Thursday night's game with a record of 1-1 on the season
  • Last weekend the Wolves lost a tough match-up with #6 Central Missouri 79-60, but followed up the defeat with an 82-74 victory over Rogers State
  • Through two games Northern is shooting the ball 43.7 percent from the field, 36.0 percent from 3-point range, and 72.5 percent at the free throw line
  • The Wolves average 71.0 points, 36.5 rebounds, 10.0 assists, 7.0 steals, and 3.0 blocks per game
  • Rianna Fillipi and Lexi Roe lead NSU in scoring with 15.0 and 14.5 points per game respectively, Fillipi notched a career high 24 points in Saturday's win over RSU
  • Kailee Oliverson is adding 9.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for Northern State, she recorded a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds against Rogers State
