Aberdeen, S.D. - Coming off a dual win in their home opener, the Northern State wrestling program looks to keep their momentum going. With the open invite starting at 10 a.m., the team will travel to Fargo, North Dakota on Saturday to take part in the Bison Open.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Last Saturday, the Wolves took part in the Jimmie Open in Jamestown, North Dakota, and had six wrestlers place in the top 5 of their weight class; highlighted by runner-up finishes by Chase Bloomquist (165) and Josh Trumble (285)
• Northern State opened their dual meet season with a 37-9 win over Concordia Moorhead on Military Appreciation night in Wachs Arena on Thursday
• In the 165 pound weight class in Thursday's dual, the Wolves saw #11 nationally ranked Caden Moore pick up his first win of the season in a 12-2 major decision
• Northern saw four wrestlers pick up wins by fall or tech fall over the Cobbers; Wyatt Turnquist (Fall 3:19), James Burks (Fall 1:43), Cole Huss (TF 16-0, 3:08), and Joshua Trumble (Fall 3:54)
• In the 174 pound weight class, graduate student Kelby Hawkins picked up the first win of his NSU career in a 6-3 decision
• Saturday will mark the first time that Northern State has taken part in the Bison Open, hosted by North Dakota State, since 2014
