NORTHERN STATE WRESTLING LEADS THE NATION IN GPA

Manheim, Pa. - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has announced the NCAA Division II Men's Scholar All-American and Team Awards this week. The Scholar All-America recognizes outstanding academic achievement by student-athletes across the country earlier today. Northern State University landed 12 student-athletes honored with the full list outlined below. The Wolves tallied seven repeat winners. In addition, Northern recorded the top team grade point average in the nation of a 3.598.
 
"Northern State University continues to raise the standard for success in the classroom while competing at a high level on the mat," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer. "Their dedication to academic excellence and a team-first culture is what this award is all about."

Scholar All-American Award Criteria
  • All-American at the 2026 NCAA DII National Championships and 3.00 GPA
  • National Qualifier to the 2026 NCAA DII National Championships and 3.25 GPA
  • Competed in 4 or more events and 3.5 GPA
