Aberdeen Natives Sign with Northern State Women’s Basketball

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head women's basketball coach Paula Krueger announced today the signings of Madelyn Bragg (Aberdeen, S.D.) and Morgan Fiedler (Aberdeen, S.D.) to national letters of intent. The pair will join the Wolves for the 2022-23 academic year.
 
"My staff did a tremendous job keeping these two local athletes at home," noted Krueger. "We look forward to watching them compete for Roncalli this season."

Bragg_WBBMadelyn Bragg | Aberdeen, S.D. | Roncalli HS | Center/Forward
Madelyn Bragg is a 6-foot-2, center/forward out of Roncalli High School. She is a 3-year starter for the Cavaliers under the direction of head coach Derek Larson. As a junior, Bragg averaged 16.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. She holds the single season scoring and field goal records at Roncalli with 397 points and 154 made field goals in 2021. Bragg is a 2-time NEC All-Conference selection, a 2021 all-state first time honoree, and 2021 South Dakota State All-Tournament team member. Roncalli won the 2021 South Dakota State 'A' Championship. She is the daughter of Bill and Shanda Bragg.
 
Krueger on Bragg:
"Madelyn Bragg is a great athlete with size and length. She has improved her long range shooting and has great touch around the basket. Madelyn has good speed and jumping ability giving her physically everything it takes to make an impact on both the offensive and defensive glass. We are so excited to add Madelyn to the Wolves family."
 
 
Fiedler_WBBMorgan Fiedler | Aberdeen, S.D. | Roncalli HS | Guard
Morgan Fiedler is a 5-foot-8 guard out of Roncalli High School. She is a 3-year starter and senior team captain for the Cavaliers under the direction of head coach Derek Larson. In 2021, Fiedler averaged 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. She is a 2-time NEC All-Conference recipient and 2021 all-area and South Dakota State All-Tournament team selection. Roncalli won the 2021 South Dakota State 'A' Championship. She is the daughter of Kevin and Heidi Fiedler.
 
Krueger on Fiedler:
"Morgan Fiedler has simply gotten better and better as a basketball player with every season. She is fast, long, and explosive on the perimeter. Morgan has a toughness that will be big playing on the perimeter in this league. She will be able to help us in transition with her speed and ball handling ability. We can't wait for Morgan to be part of the Wolves family."
