Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State women's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw with Minnesota Duluth on Sunday afternoon. Prior to the match the Wolves honored seven of the program's seniors which include:

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Minnesota Duluth struck first on the scoreboard in the 33rd minute of play, when Anna Tobias intercepted a pass back to the goalkeeper and scored on the empty net
- Northern State responded with their own goal in the 38th minute, when Mia Zagorski fired a shot into the back corner of the net off a pass from Calista Kocmick
- Alexus Townsend was able to keep the score tied at one in the early minutes of overtime, when she made a leaping save that she was able to control when it bounced off the top crossbar
- Northern saw an opportunity to win the match in overtime as DeAnna LeMire drew the UMD goalkeeper out of the net, LeMire fired a shot on the empty net and missed the goal by only inches to the left
- Townsend made another key save in the closing seconds of the first overtime period, when she was able to tip a high shot by Holly Kaboord over the top of the goal
- The Wolves held the advantage offensively throughout the game in shots 13-9, 10-7 in shots-on-goal, and 8-5 in corner kick attempts
