2023: Started all 18 matches for the Wolves… Tallied a 9-4-5 record as a starter in goal, ranking fourth in single season program history for wins…  Faced 183 shots and only allowed 15 goals while totaling 1,582:57 minutes of playing time in net… She recorded 73 saves while averaging 4.1 saves per game and a 0.830 save percentage that ranked 43rd nationally in NCAA Division II… Recorded eight shutouts, ranking third in school history in single season shutouts… Broke the Northern State career records for ties (15) and shutouts (23).... Named NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week (10/30) … Was named first team All-NSIC…

2022: Appeared and started in all 19 matches for the Wolves… Tallied a 9-5-5 record as a starter in goal, ranking fourth in program single season history for wins…  Faced 195 shots and only allowed 12 goals while totaling 1,572:48 minutes of playing time in net… She recorded 80 saves while averaging 4.2 saves per game and a 0.870 save percentage that ranked 13^th nationally in NCAA Division II… Her goals against average of 0.69 ranks fifth in school history… Recorded eight solo shutouts and three combined shutouts during the season, ranking third in school history in single season solo shutouts… Named NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week on two occasions (8/31 & 9/26)… Was one of only two NSIC goalkeepers to record a shutout against nationally ranked Minnesota State and earned her third career double digit save game with a career-high 13 saves against St. Cloud State… Her 13 save performance against the Huskies is tied for the fourth most saves in single game history… Was named second team All-NSIC…

2021: Appeared and started in all 18 games for the Wolves… Tallied a record of 7-6-5 as a starter in goal… Her seven wins in a single season is tied for eighth best in the school’s single season history… Faced 206 shots and only allowed 18 goals in 1671:36 minutes of playing time… Her goals allowed average of 0.97 ranks sixth best in school history… She recorded 95 saves while averaging 5.3 saves per game with a 0.841 save percentage… Totaled seven shutouts and combined for one more… Her seven shutouts this season ranks third best in a single season in school history… In her collegiate debut, Townsend recorded a shutout and ten saves against Montana State Billings en-route to NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week honors… Midway through the season she recorded five consecutive shutouts, while holding opponents scoreless for a total of 527:57 straight minutes…

Prep: Alexus Townsend is a 5-foot-5, goalkeeper out of Gross Catholic High School. She is a 2-year starter for the Cougars under the direction of Rick Yanovich and Kim Matzen. In her first two seasons, Townsend tallied 248 saves and ten shutouts. She is a 2-time RCC All-Conference selection, 2018 Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald All-State honorable mention pick, 2018 All-Metro team honorable mention selection, 2019 Omaha World Herald All-State first team honoree, and 2019 Lincoln Star Journal All-State honorable mention pick. In addition, Townsend is a member of the ECNL Gretna Elite Academy. GEA won the 2019 State Cup Championship and was a 2020 State Cup Finalist. She is the daughter of Kevin and Chyanne Townsend.
