Moorhead, Minn. – The Northern State women's soccer team recorded a 0-0 draw with MSU Moorhead on Friday afternoon. The tie with the Dragons was enough for the Wolves to punch their ticket into the NSIC Tournament for the first time since 2016.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State's first scoring opportunity came in the 26th minute when Teya Trujillo fired a shot for the top right corner of the net, only to have it knocked away at the last second by Kayleigh Sedlacek
- MSU Moorhead's final shot attempt came in the 33rd minute, after that point the Northern defense held strong and did not allow a shot the remainder of the game
- NSU's final chance to get on the board came in the 108th minute when Megan Fastenau sent a shot towards the bottom right corner of the net
- The Wolves held the slight offensive advantage in the match, out-shooting the Dragons 5-3 in shots and shots-on-goal, as well as a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks
- The shutout was the eighth on the season for Northern State, and the seventh on the year for freshman goalkeeper Alexus Townsend
