Northern State Records 157 Points, Taking Seventh from the NSIC Championships

Bismarck, N.D. – The Northern State University swim team concluded the NSIC Championships Saturday evening with a seventh place team finish.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS
  • Shayna Asuncion opened the final session for the Wolves taking 15h in the 100 IM with a time of 1:01.76
  • Kennedy Davis followed with a time of 1:04.19 in 24th place
  • Marialuisa Avila rounded out her meet in the 100 free, finishing in 18th with a time of 53.22
  • Connor Doran and Josie Gillund took 19th and 24th in the 100 free, notching times of 53.86 and 54.36 respectively
  • Georgy Turner and Hannah Kiernan took 21st and 24th in the 200 back with times of 2:15.21 and 2:16.19
  • Asuncion added a 13th place finish in the 200 breast, hitting the wall at 2:28.59, followed by Delanee Grier in 14th with a time of 2:30.86
  • Delaney Ryken led the team in the 1650 free, taking 17th with a time of 18:32.61
  • Jordan Metz concluded her career with a 23rd place finish in the 1650 free, hitting the wall at 19:32.27
  • The 400 free relay team of Avila, Ryken, Gillund, and Doran just missed the podium, taking ninth with a time of 3:34.54, while the squad of Turner, Davis, Kristen Collingwood, and Emma Murdock took 14th with a time of 3:44.01
