Aberdeen, S.D.  – The Northern State men's and women's track and field teams will travel south this Saturday to Mitchell and the DWU Alumni Open. Competition kicks off at 10 a.m. from Dakota Wesleyan.
 
QUICK HITS ON THE WOLVES

• Northern State enters their fourth competition of the 2019-20 season this weekend
• The Wolves opened the year taking third (men) and fourth (women) from the NDSU Dakota Classic
• NSU went on to defeat the University of Jamestown in dual competition with scores of 82-42 (men) and 78-34 (women)

• NSU  notched nine event victories, two season bests, eight personal bests, and 31 top-5 finishes from Mitchell in 2019
• Shanice Burrell won the 60m hurdles, recording a time of 8.89
• Sonia Alaman tallied the first field event win in the high jump, clearing 1.57m
• Nicolette Kneeland won the weight throw with a 15.38m toss
• Riccardo Done won the 5000m run, crossing the finish line at 15:34.32
• Jackson Harrison added an event victory in the 3000m run with a time of 9:02.62
• Tanner Berg tallied the final win for the Wolves in the weight throw with a 18.26m toss

• Kealy Hills ranks 18^th nationally in the pole vault with a 3.76m mark at the Jamestown dual

• Bryce Malsam ranks 24^th in the nation in the high jump clearing 2.04m at the Dakota Classic
• Tanner Berg sits fourth nationally in the weight throw with a 20.91m throw at the SDSU Division II Invite
