Burnsville, Minn. – For the first time in her career, Northern State junior
Kennady Thompson was named to the NSIC All-Conference first team as released by the league. Thompson was one of three at-large selections on the first team.
The Omaha native started 48 of 49 games this season as a first baseman, third baseman, and designated player. She led the Wolves hitting .382 on the year, with a team high 58 hits, 33 RBI, 11 home runs, and .638 slugging percentage. Thompson added 15 runs scored and six doubles as well. She broke the Northern State single season home runs record, as well as the career home runs record as just a junior with 17. Thompson ranked top-20 in the NSIC in batting average and top-10 in home runs.
Thompson was previously named to the NSIC Gold Glove team as a freshman and sophomore.
