Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State track and field teams will head south to Brookings this weekend for the SDSU Indoor Classic. Competition opens up at 2 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Heading into the final scheduled weekend prior to the NSIC Indoor Championships, the Wolves will look to improve their times and make their way or move up in the league top-30 of each event (top-24 of 200m and 400m) to qualify for the championships. The full list of Wolves currently in the top-30 in the league are listed below.

- Three Wolves landed in the top-10 in the NDSU heptathlon, led by senior
TJ Hochstetler with a fourth place fine
- In addition, NSU took on the pole vault from Fargo with two top-10 finishes and one school record
- The full team notched nine event victories, two season bests, eight personal bests, and 31 top-5 finishes from Mitchell

Trey Tiefenthaler tallied two event wins for the Wolves in the long jump (6.53m) and triple jump (14.04m)

TJ Hochstetler was the top Division II finisher in the heptathlon with an NCAA provisional mark of 4,918 points
