Sioux Falls, S.D. – Hannah Kastigar was named swimmer of the year in the final day of the NISC Championships Saturday from Sioux Falls. Over the four days of swimming, the Wolves tallied 105 season best, three NSIC records, three NCAA "B" Cuts, three NCAA "A" cuts, and six podium finishes.
Eight swimmers qualified for the finals during the preliminaries this morning.
Kalina Emaus in the 1650 freestyle,
Ashley Dunn in the 100 IM and 200 backstroke,
Shayna Asuncion in the 100 IM,
Cassandra Maillet 100 freestyle and 200 breaststroke, and
Josie Gillund 100 freestyle.
Maillet finished in 15th place in the 100 freestyle finals with a time of 53.50, picking up two team points for the Wolves.
Hannah Kastigar finished in second place in the 200 breaststroke Saturday with a time of 2:13.30. This time broke the school record set by Kastigar earlier this season, it also is below the NCAA "A" cut time and ranked third nationally. Emaus finished in 12th place in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:21.93, this time gave the Wolves team points.

Hannah Kastigar. NCAA Championships start on March 12th and run through the 16th from Indianapolis, Indiana.
