Sioux Falls, S.D. – Hannah Kastigar tallied her third NSIC Championship in three days winning the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.50. Wolves on the day recorded 14 season best times, seven personal best, and eight finalist.
Hannah Kastigar took her third NSIC Championship in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.50. This time broke and NSIC record and she is ranked second in Division II and swam under the NCAA "A" standard.
Kalina Emaus finished in 10th place with a swim of 2:09.70 in the 200 butterfly.
Shayna Asuncion finished in 15th place in the preliminaries with a time of 1:08.39, later that day she finished in 15th place with a time of 1:08.66 to pick up some team points. The relay team of
Cassandra Maillet,
Kalina Emaus,
Josie Gillund, and
Hannah Kastigar finished in 8th place with a time of 7:53.04.
In the first event of the prelims, Gillund and Emaus finished in the top-25 to secure a spot in the final later that night. They finished with a time of 5:20.95 and 5:21.42 respectively.
Jordan Metz and
Cassandra Maillet also qualified for finals in the 500 freestyle finishing with a time of 5:35.06 and 5:37.11.
Wolves are back in action tomorrow for the final day of the NSIC Championship, preliminaries start at 10 a.m. with finals starting at 6 p.m.
