Kastigar wins Pentathlon
Last time out the Wolves competed against University of Mary for a Sprint Pentathlon.
Hannah Kastigar won the Pentathlon finishing with final time of 2:50.62, four seconds faster than the next swimmer. NSU finished the Pentathlon with 19 season best times, five lifetime best, and three finishing in the top-10.
Kastigar picked up victories in the 50 butterfly with a time of 26.67 and in the 100 IM with a time of 59.39. She also finished second place in the 50 backstroke, 50 freestyle, and the 50 breaststroke.
Ashley Dunn finished in eighth place in the Pentathlon with a 11th place finish in the 50 butterfly, eighth place in the 50 backstroke, 12th place finish in the 50 breaststroke, eighth place in the 100 IM, and a seventh place finish in the 40 freestyle.
Shayna Asuncion finished in ninth place in the Pentathlon with a 17th place in the 50 butterfly, 22nd place in the 50 backstroke, fifth place in the 50 backstroke, 22nd place in the 50 freestyle, and ninth place in the 100 IM.
Wolves Ranked in NSIC:
Kastigar and Asuncion are currently in the top-10 in the Northern Sun in events that they have competed in this season. Kastigar is currently in first in the 200 IM and the 400 IM both are under the "B" cut.
She is also second in the conference in the 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, and a sixth in the 100 backstroke. The 200 breaststroke and the 200 butterfly are also under the NCAA "B" cut time. Asuncion is currently 10th fastest time in the 100 breaststroke.
