ABERDEEN, S.D.  – Northern State women's basketball takes their first road trip of the 2019-20 season facing NSIC foe MSU Moorhead at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the opening league contest of the season.
 
ABOUT THE WOLVES

• Northern State split last weekend picking up a win against Black Hills State (64-55) and dropping their Sunday contest to Emporia State (75-57)
• The Wolves only improved on the glass a weekend ago, out-rebounding their opponents by 25 boards versus 14 in the opening weekend of competition
• As a team, Northern State is shooting 45.5% from the field
• Kailee Oliverson leads the Wolves in efficiency thus far, shooting 64.3% from the floor
• Northern State has recorded 51 assists and 12 blocks, averaging 12.8 assists and 3.0 blocks per game
• Jessi Marti leads all Wolves with nine assists, averaging 2.3 assists per game
• Joie Spier leads the team in blocks with three, averaging 0.8 per game
• Brianna Kusler and Marti lead the team in scoring with 47 points each

 
ABOUT THE DRAGONS

• MSU Moorhead enters the weekend undefeated at 4-0 overall and 2-0 on their home court
• The Dragons have out-scored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points per game, averaging 76.0 points per contest
• Megan Hintz leads MSUM in total points scored with 80 and average points per game with 20.0
• MSUM is grabbing an average of 21.3 more rebounds per game than their opponents
• MSU Moorhead has scored 92 of their 304 total points in the second quarter of games thus far
• MSUM is averaging 50% from the field, 42.9% from beyond the arc, and 67.1% from the foul line
