Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University Women's Basketball team hits the road for a cross-division match-up with Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State. Tip-off on Friday is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. against the Golden Bears, and Saturday starting at 3:30 against the Mavericks.  
 
Quick Hits on the Wolves
 
   * The Northern State women's basketball team enters the weekend with an 8-12 overall and 5-9 in conference play. Last weekend the Wolves dropped two conference match-ups to St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth.
    * The Wolves are shooting 39.5 percent from the floor, 32.1 percent from the 3-point line, and 72.3 percent from the foul line this season.
    * They are averaging 58.7 points, 38.7 rebounds, 12.1 assists, 14.5 turnovers, 4.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game; out-rebounding their opponents by 8.6 boards per game.
    * NSU leads the NSIC in rebounding margin, in large part to junior Brianna Kusler who leads the league in rebounds per game.
    * In addition, the Wolves currently sit top-5 in the NSIC in scoring defense.
    * Kusler is averaging a team high 11.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this season, in addition to a team high 41 assists.
    * Lexi Wadsworth has put together an outstanding start to her freshman campaign, averaging 10.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. She is also shooting 42.2 percent from the floor and a team high 45.2 percent from the 3-point line.
    * Zoe Hardwick leads the team in efficiency shooting 47.3 percent from the field.
    * Anika Fredrick has started all 20 games thus far, averaging 6.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
    * Jessi Marti starting in the last six games on the season after being out due to an injury. She is averaging 5.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, with 14 assists, and eight steals.
 
About Concordia-St. Paul:
 
      * The Golden Bears enter the weekend with a 14-5 overall record and 10-4 record in the NSIC tied for first place in the NSIC South.
      * Concordia-St. Paul is shooting 41.1 percent from the floor, 32.6 percent from the 3-point line, and 65.4 percent from the foul line. The Golden Bears sits top-5 in the league in scoring margin, field goal percentage defense, 3-point field goal percentage, rebounding margin, and blocked shots.
      * Lindsay Dorr is leading the team with 17.5 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. Dorr is also shooting a team high 51.7 percent from the field.
                * Also in double figures for the Golden Bears is Anna Schmitt averaging 14/4 points, 3.6 rebounds and a team high 72 assists.
      * Lexi Lee is leading the Golden Bears with 28 made 3-pointers on the team with Riley Wheatcraft in second place with 16 made 3-pointers.
      * Concordia-St. Paul is led by head coach Amanda Johnson in her 3rd season at the helm.

      * Northern wont the only match-up with Concordia-St. Paul last season by a final score of 86-71.
                * Northern All-time against the Golden Bears are 22-15, winning three out of the last four match-ups.

     * Minnesota State enters the weekend with a 7-11 record overall and 4-10 mark in the NSIC.
     * The Mavericks are shooting 41.8 percent from the floor, 35.5 percent from the 3-point line, and 69.2 percent from the foul line.
     * They are averaging 74.6 points, 42.9 rebounds, 14.6 assists, 17.5 turnovers, 8.5 steals, and 3.3 blocks per game; out-scoring their opponents by 2.7 points.
     * The Maverick women sit top-5 in the NSIC in scoring offense, field goal percentage, 3-point percentage, blocked shots, assists, steals, turnover margin, and assist/turnover ratio.
     * Taylor Drost is leading the team with 11.8 points per game, second on the team is Monica Muth with 10.6 points and a team high 51 assists.
                * Kristi Fett is leading the team in field goal percentage, shooting 51.2 percent on the season. Second on the team in shooting is Rachel Shumski shooting 47.6 percent from the field. 
                * Brooke Tonsfeldt is leading the team with 6.6 rebounds per game, Schumski is in second place with 6.3 rebounds per game.
                * Muth and Tayla Stuttley are leading the team from 3-point percentage with 43.1 and 42.6 percent respectively. 
                * Minnesota State is led by Emilee Thiesse, in her seventh season at the helm.
