Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball team is set for their first home games of the season tomorrow from Fossum Field. The Wolves will face off against Minnesota State beginning at 1:30 p.m. in an NSIC doubleheader.

The Wolves enter the midweek double header with a 9-13 overall and a 2-8 NSIC record (11^th). NSU as a team, is hitting .269 with 15 home runs, six triples, and 41 doubles on 178 hits. Jack Schmidt leads the team with .425 batting average, second on the team is Hayden Houts with a .385, and Dakota Stilson has a .357 average on the season. Schmidt also leads the Wolves with 34 hits, second is Stilson with 25, and Barreneche has 19 hits on the season. Schmidt notched a team high five home runs on the season and Lucas Lorenz is second with four. Schmidt leads the team with nine doubles, while Stilson is second with eight.

NSU as a pitching staff has a 6.53 earned run average, giving up 204 hits, 117 earned runs, striking out 132 hitters, while walking 80, and giving up a .304 batting average. Luke Chevalier leads the pitching staff with three wins on the season with 36.2 innings and 29 strikeouts, Sam Krapf is second on the team with 21.1 innings pitched. Thomas Sertic is second on the team with 23 strikeouts in 21.0 innings. Holt Hunziker has gave up a run in 13.0 innings in relief while striking out 15. Fielding percentage for the Wolves is at .960 with 27 errors as a team in 680 chances.
