Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team will spend their spring break in the sunshine state, with 12 game slated from the PFX/NTC Tournament. The Wolves kick-off competition on March 2 at 8 a.m. (CT) and play their final doubleheader on March 8 at 1 and 6 p.m. (CT). The full schedule can be found here.
 
The Wolves opened the 2018 season going 2-2 from the Presentation College Dome Classic with wins over Dakota Wesleyan and Dakota State. Northern hit .280 as a team with 30 hits, six doubles, two homeruns, 13 RBI, 14 runs scored, and five stolen bases. Nine Wolves finished the weekend with multiple hits, while seven hit over .300 on the weekend. NSU tallied six hits against DWU, ten against VCSU, and seven against both UMC and DSU. Defensively they gave up eight errors and 17 earned runs.
 
Shayla Steinley led the team with five hits, going 5-for-15 from the plate with four runs scored and one RBI. The sophomore also went a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts. Jamie Fisher, Jenna Helgeson, and Katie Dawson each tallied a team second best four hits. Dawson led the team with two homeruns and four RBI. Makenzie Merritt and Fisher each grabbed wins on the mound, with Fisher leading the NSU staff notching five strikeouts.
 
About Lake Erie – March 2 @ 8 a.m.

- The Chargers open their season with the match-up against the Wolves
- HC was picked third in the G-MAC Preseason Poll
- Hillsdale went 25-23 overall in 2017
- HC is led by head coach Joe Abraham in is seventh season with the program

College of Saint Rose – March 3 @ 4:30 p.m.
- The Golden Knights open the 2018 season from Clermont
- Saint Rose went 11-24 overall a season ago
- COSR is led by head coach Abby Arceneaux in her fifth season at the helm

Ursuline – March 4 @ 4:30 p.m.
- The Arrows will open the 2018 season from the PFX Games

- UC is led by head coach Sue Woodford in her ninth season at the helm

Saint Anselm – March 4 @ 6:30 p.m.
- The Hawks are currently 4-1 overall with wins over No. 16 West Chester, Concord, West Virginia, and Georgian Court

U of Missouri, St. Louis – March 6 @ 10 a.m.
- The Tritons enter the spring trip with a 4-8 record overall notching wins of Delta State, Trevecca Nazarene, Emporia State, and Pittsburg State
- They were picked second overall in the GLVC and No. 14 in the nation in the NFCA Top-25 Preseason Poll
- The Tritons won the GLVC Tournament Championships and earned a berth to the NCAA Midwest Regional
