Aberdeen, S.D. – The (RV) Northern State University wrestling team is set for a full weekend of competition from Moorhead. The Wolves will face off against MSU Moorhead in NSIC action at 7 p.m. tomorrow and return to the arena Saturday morning for the MSUM Dragon Open.
 
Quick Hits on the Wolves

• The Wolves are receiving votes in the NWCA Top-25 with three wrestlers ranked nationally: No. 9 Kolton Roth, No. 12 Caden Moore, and No. 9 Kaden Campbell
• Northern also boast seven ranked in the region: No. 6 Dayne Morton, No. 2 Roth, No. 3 Moore, No. 6 Walker Carr, No. 3 Campbell, No. 6 Diego Gallegos, and No. 6 Harrison Townsend
• NSU is 1-0 in duals this season after an opening victory over Concordia Moorhead, 23-14 at home
• Northern has competed at the DWU Open and Finn Grinaker Open bringing home four individual titles and ten top-3 finishes
• Most recently the Wolves tallied three weight class wins from the Finn Grinaker Open with a total of 11 Wolves placing in their respective weight classes and divisions
• Roth and Townsend are both undefeated this season with 6-0 and 3-0 records respectively, while Moore and Campbell are 8-1 and 10-1 on the year

 
About MSU Moorhead

• The Dragons enter the weekend with a 0-1 record on the year, falling to Concordia Moorhead  19-18
• MSUM is currently ranked ninth overall in the region with two regionally ranked wrestlers
• Cole Jones (125) and Joe Schumacher (149) are ranked No. 11 and No. 9 in the nation following yesterday's release
• Adam Blees was nabbed a the team's wrestler to watch by the league this season, as Moorhead was picked sixth overall in the preseason poll
• MSUM is led by head coach Kris Nelson in his tenth season at the helm
