Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Northern State Swimming team faced off against Augustana University in a 16 event meet Friday night. On the day, the Wolves picked up 13 top-three finishes and three race wins.
 
Hannah Kastigar tallied all three race wins for the Wolves starting the night with a win in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:07.18. Her second victory was in the 200 breaststroke finishing 11 second in front of the next swimmer. In Kastigar's final event of the night, she "B" cut in the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:30.63 just in front of the time.
 
The team of Emma Murdock, Camille Kawasaki, Kastigar, Cassandra Maillet finished second place in the 400 medley Relay. Josie Gillund, Maida Walters, and Jordan Metz picked up second, third, and fourth place in the 1000 freestyle with the times of 11:33.43, 11:41.73, and 11:55.25.
 
Maillet tallied a third place finish in the freestyle with a time of 2:02.93. In the 100 breaststroke, Shayna Asuncion tallied a third place finish with a time of 1:13.86. Walters picked up a third place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.75.
 
Murdock picked up her second top-three finish on the day with a second place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:18.85. For the second time of the meet, the Wolves placed second, third, and fourth place in the 500 freestyle, Gillund finished in second place, Walters in third, and Metz in fourth.
 
In the 100 butterfly Murdock picked up a second place finish with a time of 1:03.67. In the final event of the meet, the team of Walters, Maillet, Sierra Ohm, and Gillund picked up a second place finish with a time of 1:44.84.
 
The Wolves are back in action on November 30th through December 2nd at the Rochester Invite in Rochester, Minn.
