Moorhead, Minn. – The Northern State Swimming team competed against MSU Moorhead in a dual Friday night and lost by a final score of 169-68. NSU swimmers picked up three victories on the night.
Hannah Kastigar picked up two of the three race wins on the night in the 400 IM with a time of 4:26.87 which is four seconds under the "B" cut time and a first place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.06. The team of

Josie Gillund, and Kastigar picked up their first relay win of the season in the 800 freestyle.
Kalina Emaus and Gillund finished in third and fourth in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:26.98 and 11:27.05. Walters also picked up a top-five finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:04.02. Gillund picked up a second place finish 50 freestyle with a time of 26.08 and
Sierra Ohm picked up a fifth place finish with a time of 26.63.
Emaus and Camille Kawaski also picked up a third and fourth place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 5:08.13 and 5:09.32.
Emma Murdock picked up a second place finish behind Kasitgar in the 100 butterfly with a time 1:02.13.
Ashley Dunn picked up a third place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.92.
Emma Murdock picked up a fifth place finish in the 100 backstroke 1:07.02. Walters picked up a top-three finish in the 500 freestyle and Emaus finished in fifth place.
NSU returns to the pool on November 2nd with a dual against University of Mary from the Aberdeen YMCA. The meet will start at 5:30 against the Marauders.
