Wolves Swimmers head north to MSU Moorhead for conference meet Friday

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swimming team hits the road for a conference meet at MSU Moorhead Friday night. The meet will start at 6 p.m. from Nemzek Pool on the campus of MSUM.
 
  • The Wolves enter the meet with an 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
  • Hannah Kastigar earned her second straight NSIC Swimmer of the week honors with her race wins at the NMU/SCSU Double Dual. She finished first in the 200 butterfly, 200 backstroke, 200 IM, 125 IM, 75 butterfly. Her time in the 200 butterfly was under the "B" cut time.
  • Maida Walters picked up a third place finish in the 500 freestyle, Emma Murdock finished in the top-five with a fifth place finish in the 100 butterfly.
  • Kalina Emaus picked up a fifth place finish in the 200 butterfly, the Wolves as a team picked up 45 top-ten finishes and nine top-five finishes over the weekend.  
 
About MSUM:
  • MSUM opened the 2018-19 regular season with a 180-117 dual meet win over UMary on Sunday.
  • Junior Breah Anderson won two individual events (50 and 100 free) and was also part of two winning relays to lead Dragons to win.
  • Senior Taylor Beynon won the 100 breast and 200 breast and was also part of the winning 200 medley relay. Freshman Katelin Winter won two events in her Dragon debut, taking the 500 free and 200 IM.
