Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team returns to NSIC action this Friday on the road at Southwest Minnesota State. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Marshall.
The Wolves are coming off an 0-3 weekend from the UNK Midwest Duals with losses to Chadron State, No. 23 Lindenwood, and No. 17 Western State. The Wolves scored 42 points in the three duals, with two Wolves notching two wins each. Northern was open at 165 pounds, giving up six points in each contest.
Billy Holtan and
Kaden Campbell led the team with two wins each. Holtan notched two decision victories over Lindenwood and Western State. Campbell tallied a decision win against Chadron State and a victory by fall against Western State.

Riley Lura,
Tanner Olson, and
David Murphy each tallied one match victory for NSU.
Paxton Mewes leads the active wrestlers with a 9-3 record overall this season and 2-0 mark in dual action. Mewes has tallied a team leading five victories by fall this season, with his fastest pin coming just ten seconds into the match. Following him is Holtan with a 7-5 record overall and 3-2 mark in duals.
