Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team is set to face off against MSU Moorhead in the annual Gypsy Days game tomorrow from Swisher Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. between the two teams. The Ken's SuperFair Foods Tailgate lot will open at 11 a.m. following the Gypsy Days Parade down Main Street in Aberdeen. The Wolves enter the 102nd Gypsy Days celebration, looking to bounce back after two tough weeks in cross divisional play. Northern is averaging 11.0 points, 720 yards rushing, 150.8 yards passing, and 222.8 yards of total offense per game. The NSU defense has recorded six sacks for a total loss of 58 yards, two interceptions, 11 pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles, and one blocked kick.
Jake Comeaux has thrown for 555 yards with three touchdowns, averaging 138.8 yards passing per game.
Nicholas Truen and
Chaka Kelly have seen a bulk of the rushing yards for the Wolves with 176 and 76 respectively. Kelly holds the team's lone rushing score.
Cody Kraft leads the receivers with 117 yards, while
Zech Culbreath has two receiving touchdowns.
Alex Gray and
Noah MacPherson led the team with 25 and 22 tackles respectively, while
Brian Sumption has the team's two interceptions against Upper Iowa.
