Wolves Face Minnesota Opponents from Wachs Arena

Aberdeen, S.D. - The Wolves enter the weekend after dropping a pair of five-point road games against Wayne State and Augustana University. NSU has accumulated an overall record of 11-5, sitting 7-5 in the NSIC midway through the season.

Northern is shooting 43.8% from the floor, 31.3% from the arc, and 74.0% from the foul line, while averaging 67.1 points, 38.0 rebounds, 15.2 assists, 13.9 turnovers, 6.7 steals, and 3.9 blocks per game this season. NSU is outscoring their opponents by an average of 8.5 points per game, and out-rebounding their opponents by an average of 7.3 boards per game.

Coach Curt Fredrickson switched things up against the Vikings, with Brynn Flakus, Brianna Kusler, and Jessi Marti tallying their first starts of the season. Freshman Sara Tvedt and Jessi Marti recorded career-high nights for NSU. Tvedt tallied 15 points against the Wildcats, while Marti posted ten points versus the Vikings.

The Wolves return home to face St. Cloud State at 6 p.m. on Friday and Minnesota Duluth at 4 p.m. on Saturday, with the men's game to follow.

 About the Huskies
  • St. Cloud State is coming of a spilt with Upper Iowa and Winona State at home last weekend, defeating the Peacocks 83-66 and falling to the Warriors 71-64.
