Box Score Aberdeen, S.D. – The NSU women's basketball team collected their 18
th victory of the 2015-16 season tonight from Halenbeck Hall with a 75-61 win against the St. Cloud State Huskies. The Wolves are now 18-6 overall and 14-5 in league play, while the Huskies fall to 13-10 overall and 12-7 in the NSIC.
The two teams kicked off tonight's match-up going back and forth, seeing 10 ties and seven lead changes, primarily in the first half of action. St. Cloud State gained their largest lead of three points just eight minutes into the game, however, Northern State went on an offensive run before the end of the second quarter, entering halftime with the 45-39 advantage. NSU gathered their largest lead of 17 points at 8:40 in the fourth quarter and held the double-digit spread until the final buzzer.
Northern State was consistent from the floor as a team, shooting 57.4 percent from field goal range and 60.0 percent from three-point range. The Wolves hit a season-high three-point percentage sinking 9-15 from beyond the arch, surpassing their previous season record of 53.3 percent against MSU Denver.

Gabby Laimer followed with nine points, nabbing a team-high three three-pointers. NSU recorded 28 point off of the bench and 24 total points in the paint.
Northern State outrebounded St. Cloud State 31-22 in the match. Both teams tallied nine blocks and forced over 13 team turnovers defensively.
St. Cloud State shot 45.5 percent from the floor and 37.5 from three-point range. As a team, the Huskies also had four players score in double-digits, led by Emma Konopasek and Betsy MacDonald with 14 points.
NSU will continue on the road tomorrow night at 4:00 p.m. against the University of Minnesota Duluth, with the men's game to follow.
