ResultsBrookings, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams opened their competition packed weekend at the SDSU Indoor Classic. The Wolves traveled with a partial team primarily competing in the distance events.
Brady Harr traveled as the lone NSU throw. Harr finished 11
th overall in the shot-put with a 12.50-meter throw. He went on to take tenth in the weight throw with a 12.74-meter mark.
Andrea Korvela opened competition for the NSU women in the 600-meter run. Korvela placed 15
th overall with a time of 1:39.65.
Sasha Hovind continued a strong showing for the women, winning the 5,000-meter run. Hovind's time of 16:48.84 broke her own school record by 27 seconds and moved her to seventh nationally in the event.
Dakotah Bullen followed in seventh overall, hitting the line at 17:40.54.
Freshmen
Josh Thompson broke into the top-10 in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:22.43.
Nick Lindwurm followed at 1:23.10.
Northern returns to action tomorrow with a full squad at the NDSU Bison Classic.
