Wolves Look to Continue Win Streak in Weekend Match-Up

Aberdeen, S.D. - After dropping their first NSIC match to MSU Moorhead, the Wolves have bounced back to win four-straight conference games. Last weekend the Wolves defeated Bemidji State 81-72 and Minnesota Crookston 78-65. NSU is currently 8-1 overall and 4-1 in conference action. 

As a team the Wolves are shooting 44.7 percent from the floor, 37.8 percent from the arc, and 74.3 percent from the foul line, while averaging 66.0 points, 37.8 rebounds, 16.1 assists, 14.2 turnovers, 6.7 steals, and 4.2 blocks per game. The Wolves are third in the NSIC in scoring defense (55.8), and second in field goal defense (32.7) and defensive rebounds (30.0).

Jill Conrad continues to lead the team in points (134), scoring average (14.9), defensive rebounds (5.6), and free throws made (31). Likewise, Miranda Ristau is second on the team in scoring (14.7), but leads the team in rebounds (67), rebound average (7.4), offensive rebounds (2.4), and blocked shots (1.9). Ristau is coming off of career-high 27 point contest over Bemidji State, and was named the NSIC North Division Player of the Week combining for 46 total points with a shooting percentage of 61.1 on the weekend.

The Wolves and the Dragons will tip-off on Saturday, December 17th at 4 p.m. from Alex Nemzek Hall.
